Mark a 1-on-1 service as taking place at the client's home to turn on check-in/check-out and automatic overdue alerts, and ask your practitioners to add an emergency contact.
Prerequisites
• Role: Owner or Manager
On the appointment type your practitioner travels for (Appointments → Appointment Types → Edit), set "Where does this happen?" to "At the client's preferred location". That covers a home, an office, a hotel room — anywhere the client names; they type the exact address when they book, and nothing in the booking screens tells them it has to be a home. Once saved, bookings for that service show "Check in" and "Check out" on the practitioner's My Appointments page — that's what puts the visit under the safety watch (see "Check in and out of a home visit"). Services without this turned on are unaffected.
Each home-visit service has two timers: how long after the scheduled end to nudge the practitioner to check out, and how long after that to alert you. Both default to 15 minutes, so you're alerted 30 minutes after the appointment was due to finish. Adjust them on the same edit screen if a service typically runs long.
Before a practitioner's first home visit, ask them to open My Profile in the instructor portal and fill in "Emergency contact" (name, phone, relationship) at the bottom of the form. It only ever surfaces to you if they're overdue checking out — it's the fastest way to reach someone who doesn't pick up.
