When a practitioner is overdue checking out of a client's home, your studio gets an email and push alert plus a red banner on your dashboard. Call first, then mark it resolved.
A background check runs every 5 minutes. 15 minutes after a home-visit appointment's scheduled end time, if the practitioner hasn't checked out, they get a push notification and email asking them to check out. If another 15 minutes pass with still no check-out (30 minutes past the scheduled end in total), you and any manager with "Manage bookings" or "Manage practitioners" permission get an email and push alert, and a red banner appears at the top of your dashboard.
The dashboard banner lists the practitioner, the client, when they checked in, how many minutes overdue they are, and a "Call" button that dials the practitioner directly. The alert email carries more: the practitioner's phone and emergency contact, the client's name, the visit address and day-of phone, and the check-in and scheduled-end times — everything you need to act without looking anything else up.
Tap "Call" on the banner, or dial the number from the email, to reach the practitioner. Most of the time it's a session that ran long or a phone left in a bag — but treat every alert as real until you've actually heard from them.
Once you know the practitioner is safe, click "Mark resolved" on the banner. This records that you handled it and clears the alert. If the practitioner checks out on their own before you get to it, the banner clears itself — there's nothing left for you to do.
