Turn on card-on-file, a first-visit Intake, and a cutoff time for new clients' first booking — all from the travel visit service's edit screen.
Prerequisites
• Role: Owner or Manager
Go to Appointments → Appointment Types, find the travel visit service, and click Edit. Because the service is set to "At the client's preferred location", extra settings appear below the usual fields.
Turn on "Card on file required". A booking for this service can't be completed until the client has a saved card. This does not charge anything — it only confirms a card is on file. The actual charge happens later, once the visit is under way (see "Charge a card after a completed appointment").
Turn on "First-visit intake" and pick which Intake to use from the dropdown. Only services marked "This service is an intake" appear there — see "Create an Intake service for first-time travel visits" if you haven't made one yet. Once this is on, a new client's first booking for this service automatically includes that Intake right before it.
Set "No first booking after" to a cutoff time, e.g. 7:00 PM. A new client can no longer start a first appointment for this service at or after that time. See "New clients can't book a first travel visit after a set time" for exactly who this applies to.
Click Save. The new rules apply to bookings made from now on; appointments already booked are unaffected.
