Define the 1-on-1 services clients can book — set the name, duration, price, and buffer time between sessions.
Prerequisites
• Role: Owner or Manager
Click "Appointments" in the sidebar. The page has two tabs: Appointment Types and Bookings.
On the Appointment Types tab, click the button in the top right.
Name (required): a short label clients see, e.g. "60-Minute Massage" or "Initial Consultation". Description (optional): what the session includes. Duration: choose 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Price: enter a dollar amount, or leave at 0 for a free appointment — this is the base price. Buffer time: extra minutes added after the appointment before the next slot opens — useful for cleanup or prep time (options: none, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes).
Under "Practitioners offering this service", check each practitioner who provides it. A new type starts with nobody checked, and "Select all" / "Clear all" above the list moves everyone at once — with a running count of how many are selected. For any practitioner, you can type a price in the box next to their name to override the base price just for them — leave it blank to use the base price. Members only see a service when booking with a practitioner who offers it, at that practitioner's price.
Click Create. The type appears on the Appointment Types tab as an Active card. The practitioners you selected (and who have set availability) can now be booked for this service.
Click Edit on any type card to change its name, description, duration, price, buffer, active status, or the set of practitioners and their per-practitioner prices. Clicking Deactivate (or toggling Active off in the edit form) hides the type from the member booking flow without deleting it. Inactive types can be reactivated at any time.
