Stop last-minute booking requests for a service

Give a service a minimum notice, e.g. three hours, and clients can no longer request a time that starts sooner than that.

Prerequisites

  • • Feature: Appointments must be enabled in Settings → Features.
1

Open the service

Go to Appointments → Appointment Types, find the service, and click Edit.

2

Set Minimum notice

Pick how much warning a client must give — from 1 hour up to 2 days. "No minimum" is the default and keeps today's behaviour.

3

Save

Click Save. Times inside the window stop appearing for clients straight away, and the booking page explains why: "Requests need at least 3 hours notice."

Tips
  • • It applies per service, so a home-visit service can demand three hours while your in-studio sessions stay bookable on the hour.
  • • It applies to CLIENTS only. You and your managers can still book anything, at any time, from the dashboard — the rule exists so a practitioner isn't ambushed by a web request, not to stop you taking a call.
  • • Even with "No minimum", a time that has already passed can no longer be requested.
  • • Notice is measured against your studio's timezone, so a client in another zone sees the same cutoff you do.
