New clients can't book a first travel visit after a set time

Set a cutoff time so a new client can't start their first home-visit appointment too late in the day. Returning clients are never affected.

Prerequisites

  • Feature: Appointments must be enabled in Settings → Features.

• Role: Owner or Manager

1

Where to set it

On a travel visit service's edit screen, set "No first booking after" to a time, e.g. 7:00 PM — leave it blank for no restriction. See "Require a card and screen new clients for a travel visit service" for where this sits alongside the other settings.

2

What it blocks

A new client — someone who has never completed a travel visit at your studio — cannot select a start time at or after the cutoff for their first booking of this service. Those time slots simply don't appear for them; earlier slots the same day are still open.

3

Who it does not affect

Once a client has completed one travel visit at your studio, the cutoff no longer applies to them for any service — they can book any available time, including evenings. It never affects in-studio services either, only ones set to "At the client's preferred location".

Tips
  • Think of this as "we don't send a practitioner alone to a stranger's home late at night," not as a general evening blackout — it only ever restricts a new client's very first visit.
  • Leave it blank if you don't want any restriction — nothing changes from today's behavior.
  • Pair it with a first-visit Intake (see "Create an Intake service for first-time travel visits") for the strongest new-client screening: your practitioner meets the client in a short Intake before committing to the full session.
  • The cutoff is set per service, so you can use a stricter time for one service or practitioner than another.
