List independent practitioners as Wellness Partners

Mark a practitioner as a Wellness Partner and they appear on their own tab on your website — with their bookable services — instead of your team directory.

Prerequisites

  • The partner must exist as an instructor (invite them like any other).
  • For their card to show bookable services, link them to at least one service under Appointments → Appointment Types. (No toggle needed — a visible partner with a linked service is bookable automatically.)

• Role: Owner or Manager

1

Mark someone as a partner

Open Instructors, click the person, and turn on "Wellness Partner" in their edit form. From then on they appear under the "Wellness Partners" tab on your website widget instead of the team directory — visitors can read their profile, see their services with prices, and book them directly. What they do (their specialties) shows in bold under their name so a visitor scanning the directory can tell partners apart without opening anyone. A partner with bookable services also gets a "View profile" link on their card, opening the same full profile page as the Services tab — bio in full, services with prices, and their next open times. Tick "Service locations" (Virtual / In-Studio / Mobile Service) on their edit form and those badges appear on their card and profile too.

2

Set your membership terms (owner only)

On the Instructors page, open the "Wellness Partner membership" card. There is ONE membership, not a set of tiers: an annual price for the directory listing, the percentage you keep of a new client's FIRST booking with a partner, and the studio time that comes with it (how many hours a month are included, the rate past that, and a hard cap). The card restates the money in words — "you keep 30% of that first booking and the partner receives 70%" — so check that sentence says what you mean before saving.

3

Understand what a partner is paid

The first time a client books a partner through your site, you keep your first-booking percentage of that one booking. Every booking that client makes with that partner afterwards pays the partner 100% — you are not taking a cut of their ongoing business, and Klasly does not ask you to track it. The fee comes out of what the client pays; nothing is charged to your card. On your Instructor payouts page the first booking is labelled ("first booking — studio kept 30%"), so an amount that differs from the others is explained on the line rather than being a mystery later.

4

Discount or scholarship an individual partner

On the partner's own edit page, "Annual membership price" sets what THIS partner pays. Leave it blank and they pay your list price; enter an amount to discount or scholarship them. The partner sees their own price on their Earnings page, so there is no confusion about what they agreed to.

5

List their offsite events

When you create or edit an event, set "Hosted by" to the partner. (The "Hosted by" picker appears once your studio has at least one instructor or partner.) Once that event is published and public, it appears on their card in the Wellness Partners tab — which is how a session they run somewhere else becomes visible from your site. Leave it as "Your studio" for your own events.

6

Add event plans (optional)

The "Partner event plans" card, under the membership card, holds the optional monthly plans for putting a partner's OWN events on your calendar — for example $60 a month for 2 events, $90 for 4, $180 for 10. Each plan records a monthly price, how many events it covers, how much studio time comes with it, and what happens at the limit: either they stop listing that month, or they keep going and you bill each extra one. Assign a plan on the partner's edit page; a partner with no plan simply pays per event. Klasly does not charge any of this yet — it is what you invoice from, and it is what the partner sees as their remaining allowance.

7

End a partnership

Turn "Wellness Partner" back off on their edit page. They leave the Wellness Partners tab, and they are hidden from your website at the same time so an independent practitioner is never published as your own team — tick "Show on your website" again before saving if listing them with your team is what you meant. Their event plan and custom membership price are cleared; "Service payout share" reappears so you can set what they are paid as one of your own practitioners.

Tips
  • The Wellness Partners tab only appears on your widget once at least one partner is visible — studios without partners see no change.
  • To make a partner bookable, link them to a service under Appointments → Appointment Types (create the type and tick the partner as a provider), then set their availability from their page under Instructors. A visible partner with a linked service appears in BOTH the Wellness Partners tab and the Services tab automatically — the "Offers services" toggle is only needed for your own (non-partner) team.
  • Partners are badged "Partner" in your Instructors list, so you can see who is outside your team without opening each profile.
  • "Show on your website" still applies: keep it off while you're onboarding a partner and they stay hidden from both tabs.
  • Retiring an event plan takes everyone off it and asks you to confirm first. Their membership and what they are paid for bookings are untouched — an event plan is only about listing events.
  • Studio time: the membership includes a set number of hours a month, then bills per hour past that (prorated to the minute, so half an hour over at $35/hour is $17.50). Past the cap, new room bookings stop and the partner is told to talk to you about a rental plan.
  • The annual price is not billed automatically yet — invoice it however you do today. Automatic annual billing is planned as a follow-up. The first-booking fee IS automatic, and it comes out of what the client pays, so nothing is charged to your card.
  • Visitors are never shown the membership or the percentage. What a partner pays stays between you and them — but the partner themselves can see it on their own Earnings page, including their own price if you gave them one.
