A live monthly report of what each instructor and practitioner has earned — membership classes (capped per class), their share of class/pass revenue (your Studio Fee), and their share of 1-on-1 appointments. Pay whenever you like (weekly, monthly, any time): each "Pay via Stripe" settles what's still owed, and "Mark paid" records payments made outside Stripe.
Prerequisites
• Role: Owner
Click "Payouts" in the sidebar under Money (owner only), or the "Instructor payouts" card on your Dashboard. The page opens on the CURRENT month — a live view that updates as classes are taken — and the period selector switches to any past month.
The first time, click "Save payout card" and enter the card your studio pays instructors from. It's saved securely on Stripe — you only do this once (use "Change card" to update it later).
Use "Cap per class" at the top of the page to set the most an instructor can earn from one membership class (default $20). Lower it for cheaper memberships, raise it for premium ones. Changing it instantly recalculates the report.
Each person's amount combines three things for the month: (1) membership classes — a member's monthly fee is split among the instructors they attended, capped per class (default $20) and never more than the fee; (2) their share of class/pass revenue — the revenue for classes they taught minus your Studio Fee (set in Settings → Payout); and (3) their share of 1-on-1 appointments they were paid for, at their own "Service payout share" (Instructors → edit). All three are added into ONE amount per person. The "Includes" strip under the totals shows how much of the month came from each.
Click the arrow (▶) next to a name to expand a line-by-line breakdown, each row tagged with where it came from: Membership (which member's membership and how many classes), Class/pass (which pass pool and class share), and Appointment (which service, client and day — home visits are marked "travel visit"). The rows always add up to the person's total, so you can trace any figure.
Each row shows the instructor's total for the month and, once you've paid something, "paid / owed" underneath. The "Pay" button charges only the REMAINING amount, so you can pay weekly, mid-month, or monthly: after a payment, anything the instructor earns later in the month simply becomes the next amount to pay. Use "Pay all via Stripe" to settle everyone still owed at once. Accidental double-clicks never double-charge. If your card is declined part-way through, Klasly STOPS there rather than trying the rest: every payout is charged to that same card, so the remaining ones would fail too, and repeated declines in quick succession make your bank and Stripe more likely to block the card outright. The message tells you how many were not attempted — they are still owed and unchanged. Fix the card (or use "Change card"), then press "Pay all via Stripe" again.
If you paid an instructor by Zelle, check, or cash — or they haven't connected Stripe — click "Mark paid" to record it. You can record the full remaining amount or a partial one; the statement's paid/owed figures update the same way as a Stripe payment. This moves no money; it only keeps the record truthful.
Use "Download CSV" or "Download PDF" at the top of the report to save the whole month for your records or accountant. Both include the period, every instructor (name, email, classes, amount, paid so far, remaining), each instructor's full breakdown, and the totals. The CSV opens in any spreadsheet; the PDF is a formatted statement. Files are named instructor-payouts-YYYY-MM.
Click "Email statement" next to an instructor to email them their own figures (total for the month plus the source/detail/classes/amount breakdown). Use "Email all statements" to send every owed instructor their own. Each instructor only ever sees their own numbers — never another instructor's. This is informational only: it does not charge anyone, and the email says the amount "will be paid" (you still click Pay via Stripe to actually pay). Instructors without an email on file are skipped.
